01. Overview

02. Problem

03. Design

This project involved designing a web application called Inventories, tailored specifically for companies managing inventory across multiple locations.

As the UI/UX Designer, I was responsible for crafting a user-friendly interface that would streamline stock-taking and monitoring processes, allowing users to access and update critical inventory data with ease. Utilizing tools like Figma, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator, I developed the design over approximately two months, focusing on enhancing usability, optimizing data visualization, and improving workflow efficiency.

The client was struggling with a previous inventory management system that was both cumbersome and visually disorganized. The lack of a clear visual hierarchy and inefficient workflows made it challenging for users to view summaries and manage inventory data effectively.

The client's primary goal for the redesign was to provide an intuitive, organized interface that would enable employees and managers to access essential information quickly, track stock changes, and maintain inventory accuracy. This application was intended for store managers, warehouse teams, and other employees responsible for real-time inventory maintenance, who needed a streamlined experience to manage data effectively.

To address these issues, I redesigned the application to include a modular dashboard with essential summaries like Sales Overview, Purchase Overview, and Inventory Summary, giving users a quick glance at key metrics such as Quantity in Hand and Low Stocks.

The design style is clean, minimal, and data-focused, with emphasis on clarity in data presentation and easy navigation. Additionally, I introduced new features like summary widgets, real-time inventory updates, and enhanced search and filter options.

Following principles of simplicity, accessibility, and user-centered design, I ensured that the layout was both consistent with the company’s brand identity and intuitive for end-users.
